Insurance Company Already Called?
Don't give a recorded statement. Don't sign a medical release. Don't accept any offer. The adjuster sounds friendly, but their job is to close your claim for as little as possible. Everything you say in a recorded statement can be used to reduce your payout. A signed medical release gives them access to your entire medical history — including pre-existing conditions they'll use against you. Call us first. It's free, confidential and could be the difference between $10,000 and $100,000.
What Happens During a Free Case Review
You call. A lawyer answers — not a receptionist, not a call center. We ask what happened: where, when, who was at fault, what injuries you have, whether you've seen a doctor and whether you've talked to the other driver's insurance company. Based on your answers, we tell you three things: whether you have a viable case, what it's roughly worth and what the next steps would be. The whole call takes 15 to 20 minutes. If you hire us, we start working that day — sending a letter of representation to the insurance company, preserving evidence, requesting the police report and coordinating with your medical providers.
What You Should Bring or Have Ready
For the initial call, have these ready if possible: the police report or case number, the other driver's insurance information, photos of the accident scene or vehicle damage, a list of your medical providers and treatments so far, and any correspondence from the insurance company (letters, voicemails, emails). Don't worry if you don't have all of this — we can work with whatever you have and request the rest.
Texas Statute of Limitations
In Texas, you have 2 years from the date of the accident to file a personal injury lawsuit. Miss that deadline and your case is permanently barred — no exceptions. Insurance companies know this. Some adjusters will stall negotiations hoping you'll miss the deadline. Don't wait. Even if you're not sure about filing a lawsuit, talking to a lawyer early protects your options and preserves evidence that disappears over time (dashcam footage, traffic camera recordings, witness memories).
Fee Structure
We work on contingency. You pay nothing upfront and nothing out of pocket. Our fee is 33.33% of the settlement if we resolve the case before filing a lawsuit. If we file suit, the fee is 40%. If we lose, you owe us nothing — zero. We also front all case costs (filing fees, medical records, expert witnesses, court reporters) and only get reimbursed from the settlement. You're never asked to write a check.
